Barn owls are sometimes called Ghost owls. Not because of anything sinister, just that they fly so silently. The softness of their feathers mean they hardly make a noise to alert an unlucky vole or mouse. Their numbers have been hit by loss of traditional farm land and our passion for converting barns to chic residences, but they are coming back with the help of volunteers.
This owl will fit into a 50x50cm frame and I attach a photo of what it might look like. It will need to go under glass and away from direct sunlight or humidity.
