I have painted a series of garden paintings this summer - trying to capture the dappled nature of the colors of the garden. I love how the colors drift and move in the garden. My favorite time of the day is just at the end of afternoon. The sun lights up all of the insects over the garden, and I am so very glad that I am sitting on a screened porch. I can see all kinds and sizes of insects flitting around, and they are all gold in the sunlight. It is magical!
This painting comes the closest to capturing that feeling.
It is acrylic painted on a panel, that my husband has mounted to a 1 1/2" deep wood cradle. I have finished the edges with 2 coats of clear polyurethane. It has a wire on the back and is ready to hang!
