A bright colourful painting of the Bass Rock in Scotland.
I was walking on the beach one late afternoon , when the sky suddenly darkened, but the sun was shining so brightly between clouds and lit up the Bass Rock brilliantly, reflecting on the thousands of gannets flying around it looking for somewhere to land. The Bass Rock is the worlds largest single island gannet colony, where hundreds of thousands of gannets return every year to feed and breed. They always return to the exact same few inches of rock, and find their mate from the previous year . The Rock turns white every summer with the thousands of gannets nesting there. Amazing sight !
Comes sealed and varnished, ready to hang on your wall , or can easily be framed if required.
Canvas ,acrylic paint, varnish
