Gabrielle is one of my fabric sculptures, she is specially finished to survive the elements outside all year round. She can withstand rain, ice and frost.
Or perhaps because she is so lovely you can just keep her indoors. Quite at home in any room.
She could sit in the garden or be just an home on a shelf or mantelpiece.
She is made with on a wooden base, with cotton fabric immersed in special fabric hardeners, which makes the fabric very strong and hard to the touch - yet surprisingly lightweight, mounted onto a piece of slate.
I chose to make her in a brown bronze, with verdigre and gold guilt highlights.
MOUNTED ONTO SLATE which measures 11.5 x 7.5 inches.
Care: Washable in cold water, they can be swished about to remove dust and allowed to drip dry.
