Artist's description:

G-George flew 96 combat missions over occupied Europe with 460 Squadron, and is the second most prolific surviving Lancaster. Upon retirement from combat duty in 1944, G-George was flown to Australia by an all-RAAF crew of Bomber Command veterans and is now housed in the Australian War Museum. Painted from archival photography and photographs taken at Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Center.
