An chunky, wood cut style rendering of a slightly portly owl, in three bold colours. I have left some of the 'chatter' on the print deliberately, to give the piece a slight feeling of movement, as if he were ruffling his feathers having just settled on a branch.
The black line work is a lino block, carefully burnished down by hand, print by print, over the rust brown and brilliant green background, which are screen printed in acrylics.
