Artist's description:

Part of a series based on the tripartite French slogan, Fraternite is the male horse personified. He is wild, even the landscape reflects his disposition. He is very male and proud of it.

Fraternite is part of the series Liberte (sold), and Egalite? (which is also available for sale). I think of Gericault and Luard when I look at this painting. The gold frame adds regalness to this dramatic work. However I appreciate this is prohibitive for shipping, so am reflecting unframed prices here. If you would like to purchase complete with aforementioned gold frame: contact me

Materials used:

Fabrianno paper, pastels
