**This print is being published in a book 'The Elegant Fowl' by Mascot Media Ltd to be released in July 2016**
This is a linoprint from my original design inspired by Edward Lear's poem 'Owl and The Pussycat'
I have always been fascinated by this tale of love, evoking a nostalgic image of an old-fashioned romance, while being quirky and whimsical at the same time. A perfect combination! What could be more romantic than dining on mince and dancing by the moon?
"And hand in hand, on the edge of the sand,
They danced by the light of the moon,
They danced by the light of the moon."
This is one of a small edition of prints, all of which are printed by hand using a Linoblock, so small variations occur between them making each one truly unique and original, and giving it a distinctive textural quality, completely different from reproductions.
This work is printed with oil-based inks and has a beautiful matt finish. It is numbered, titled and signed at the bottom.
This artwork will be packaged securely in a hard-backed envelope with cellophane/bubble wrap. For international orders, any custom duties and taxes will be paid by the buyer.
