Artist's description:

Beautiful sandstone fins glowing in reflected early morning light. This photo was taken with a 4x5 view camera in a wilderness protected area in southern Utah. Wind has carved this multi colored sand stone into beautiful fins that are very fragile. Iwas lucky enough to have photographed here before this area became widely known. I know many of the formations here have not survived the limited foot traffic over the last 20 years. I can only hope these fins still remain, so others can enjoy this amazing place.

Materials used:

Archival pigment ink and Fine Art paper, printed on Epson printer.

Fragile (1999)
