An original painting of the ruined Cistercian monastery of Fountains Abbey, near Ripon, North Yorkshire. Fountains Abbey dates back to the mid 12th century and is said to be one of the largest and best preserved ruined Cistercian monasteries in England. The site is now in the care of the National Trust. This moody interpretation attempts to capture the romantic nature of the ruins in their wooded valley setting using expressive mixed media.

Painted in mixed media (pen, ink wash and oil pastel) on quality Bockingford 300gsm acid-free paper. The painting is supplied un-mounted and un-framed and will be sent in a postal tube. FREE POSTAGE TO UK BUYERS.
