Artist's description:

The majority of my work has evolved from the activity of walking the tracks and trails of Devon and Cornwall. Over a period of 35 years I've repeated many walks and come to know the places intimately using the camera as a sketchbook or visual reminder of places. There are occasions where the image caught on the camera stands on its own and other times I use them as a starting point to paint an emotional response.

"Let the beauty we love be what we do. There are hundreds of ways to kneel and kiss the ground' Jelaluddin Rumi
