This collage is composed of five horizontal bars, each with numerous narrow vertical strips with irregular torn edges that run from top to bottom. The colors palette is rich, earthy, and warm, including rust, burnt sienna, deep terracotta, yellow, metallic gold, olive, khaki, ochre and umber. Some bands are matte and rough, while others are metallic and shimmer with the light. The overall effect is reminiscent of geological layers, like stratified rock, or distressed, layered metals like copper, and brass.
