Artwork description:

I photographed New York for the first time in 2016. The project was to capture standalone images of the most iconic buildings in the city. I visited Madison Square Gardens several times, photographing the Flatiron at sunrise, sunset and during the night; however, none of those images were striking enough from a lighting perspective. It was by chance that I was walking through the same area during a late sunny afternoon and the sunlight caught one side of the building, providing a contrast that was not there during the other shots I took. Simply converting the image to black and white accentuated the contrast. The whole capture reminded me how it is sometimes the least planned occasions that provide the best shots.

This piece of art is a limited edition of 10. This number is the total that will be printed of this photograph. The size and medium will be the same for the whole print run.

HARMAN GDS resin-coated photograph (black and white) is mounted onto a 1.5mm sheet of aluminium to ensure they are perfectly flat. The prints are coated with a UV seal to reduce damage from UV light. A custom made aluminium subframe is attached to the back of the aluminium panel and the print will appear to ‘float’ off the wall.

It is not possible to sign the front of the artwork directly since there is no border. A sticker will be attached to the rear and certificate of authenticity sent separately.

Delivery is listed for UK, however, artwork can be arranged for worldwide delivery. Depending on the destination, any applicable import taxes can be paid prior to export or on import. I have previously sent art to Europe, Asia and the US.

Materials used:
