An oil painting where I am trying to capture the other worldly effect of walking through a misty, drizzly Dartmoor landscape. I have made the normally hilly Dartmoor landscape flat so as to encourage the bicyclists! This painting was created in layers, so beyond the horizontal colours are other layers set diagonally across the picture. Beyond these colours are other much less distinguishable patterns only partially revealed to the eye. These less visible patterns refer to the remnants of ancient human settlements, walls and mines that cover this beautiful territory. The painting is varnished and comes with it's own certificate of authenticity.
