Artwork description:

With over 30 years of photography experience, my interests in subject matter are quite varied. One of the many things I enjoy doing with my camera is creating visually interesting images from the commonplace; finding art in places that you wouldn't expect to find it. This box of machine parts photographed at a flea market recently is a perfect example. Printed larger than life, the image takes on a very beautiful, somewhat abstract quality.

Hand printed by the artist at 12x18 inches on 16x20 fine art paper. Number 2 of a limited series of 9, signed and numbered on the front.

Purchasers outside USA please note:

Purchase price does not include duties and taxes that may be imposed by your country of residence.

Regarding size:

My work is hand printed at the size I feel best presents the subject matter. However, I am able to print many of the images at custom size if requested. If interested in a custom size, please contact the studio directly with your request. If available, we will promptly post the custom size to Artfinder for purchase.

About the artist:

Robert Tolchin is an artist who is as comfortable under the red glow of his darkroom safelight as he is in front of his computer monitor. A second generation photographer, classically trained in the photo program of Columbia College Chicago, Tolchin's work ranges from traditional, beautiful black and white figurative nudes to conceptual, digital images conceived in his imagination. His work is exhibited widely and is in personal and corporate collections in North America and Europe. Working from his studio north of Chicago he is available for fine art and portrait commissions.
