Original artwork description:

In 2019 I was observing the increase in activity on social media platforms and saw how people were becoming hooked and addicted to the blue light of their screens small or large. I felt the best representation of how I was observing the wave of addiction was to utilse the image of the angler fish both as the addict to the likes represented by the small fish and then in turn the small fish in turn being addicted to the ever bright rectangular phone screen. Each fish perpetual in feeding the other within the digitalised social ecosystem.
