'First light at the Lakeside' originates from a spot I found while heading south towards Beddgelert. The sun had just broken over the ridge of the lakeside mountain and being first thing in the morning, the air was crisp and fresh.
I am fond of this painting as it reminds me of suddenly seeing this location while driving in the truck and having to slam on the brakes, to park up and hop the fence. Well worth the effort.
As you will see in this painting, I am continuing to further the style of energetic representation, while at the same time trying to stay true to the tones and forms.
