Artist's description:

When the Gold Finches dart through my yard, which isn't very often, it's like yellow lightening has flashed. A sunflower seed fell out of my bird feeder and planted itself. I'm amazed a squirrel didn't eat it before it had a chance to bloom. But a lucky Gold Finch got first crack at it. And I got some great telephoto shots from the kitchen window.
