"Figure de Proue": mixed media sculpture (terra cotta, copper and wood for the base) with a patina. Size: 54x24x16cm.
This one of a kind sculpture is a carving, typically a bust or a full-length figure, set at the prow of an old-fashioned sailing ship.
My first approach was to create the symbolic between a musical instrument and an anchor.
The sculpture is polished with a cere to protect the patina.
