Whilst looking down on a huge container ship in dry dock in Falmouth, Cornwall, UK, I wanted to capture the variation of scale between the enormous bow of the ship and the hundreds of workers scurrying around cleaning its hull. I decided to drop the eye level to the ground to emphasise the relationship of scale between workers and structure. This painting won 'Best Watercolour' at the 2014 Royal West Academy Exhibition in Bristol UK.
This painting is being sold double mounted unframed to enable the buyer to choose their own frame choice.
