Artist's description:

This image was captured in the ghost town of Kolmanskuppe (Afrikaans for Coleman's hill), in Namibia, which was a very wealthy mining town, forsaken in 1958.

In the past 60 years, the desert sands have reclaimed the town which now looks drowned in sand.

I love this particular image because it is almost as if the residents of this house knew, when they put the wallpaper, that one day the sand would come in.

Materials used:

Hahnemuhle German Etching Paper.
