Original artwork description:

'Fancy dancer...' is an original artwork in inks, acrylic and pencil on hand stained paper measuring 160 mm x 160 mm in size.

I stain the paper myself using tannin to give an aged textured look to the paper. the tones and textures lend themselves beautifully to the ink work on top which gives life to the work, I work in ink stains and then use tiny detail with pen nibs and brushes to create a unique artwork. The staining goes some way to determining the subject matter as it leaves delightful marks and shadows, in which I 'see' the work revealed before my eyes...a bit like magic ;)

This piece is an uplifting work with the Fancy Dancer being followed by all the flowers as she dances...I'd certainly follow her if she danced passed my house (and I'm not even a flower)
