Walking by the park early January 2021, he saw this scene which was so beautiful, and so decided to take pictures of it to paint. Looking at how these very trees had lots of leaves some few months ago and now all was dried up, just the branches, he quickly knew what the title would be-‘Faded glory’. This painting is about the hardships most people are experiencing in recent times. A few years ago life seemed rosy, but lo and behold comes this virus which has turned everything upside down. Kwesi says to everyone going through such hard times, that before you complain just take a look at these trees which were once covered with leaves everywhere, but suddenly the season changed and dried everything up. The good news is that there is still hope as the saying goes where there is life there is hope. Its just seasonal, spring is coming and new fresh leaves will grow and the trees will get their glory back. He says don’t give up, spring is coming.
