Artist's description:

This piece is in honor of Dia de los Muertos, a 2-day celebration in Central America to honor our deceased family and friends. This is an invented scene based on real grafitti pulled from different parts of Colorado...with some completely made up as well. The skull, candles, cross, and marigolds are part of the traditional Day of the Dead festivities. And the quiet "ghost", a Gray Fox, pauses for a moment as if in honor of the day.

Materials used:

Oil, textured gesso

Espiritu (unframed)
