This is a multi-printed image of Zeus as his Greek symbol of the Eagle. The image pays homage to Andy Warhol with his multi printed images and follows his process of printing an image without laying more ink, allowing each print to strip away the ink, therefore printing a gradually disappearing image.
The Eagle is a symbol of Zeus who was renowned for morphing into various birds, ready to seduce a lady he lusted. Over time the Old Gods from Paganism were consumed by the growing Christian faith, in-turn adopting many of the rituals of Paganism, knowing the Pagans would easily adopt the new religion of the new age of Pisces. Zeus became the archetype of God and his image transferred into the image of what God must look like as a symbol for the all-powerful energy of the Creator.
This also plays with ideas based on the move away from the Christian god and a move towards the rise of the celebrity, in this case Andy Warhol, who through his work with celebrities became one for the movement of Pop Art and the rise of the new gods of fame.
