Artist's description:

Work by Johnny Jetstream.

This is a 140 megapixel photograph. The quality and depth of colour and detail are of the highest quality.

I have exhibited at the Royal Academy in London and also been awarded a medal by the Royal Photographic Society in recognition of the quality of printing.

This piece is professionally produced by Digitalab in the UK on a Lightjet 5000 large format digital printer.

The advantages of Lightjet prints are:

EXTREMELY FINE DETAIL.
The continuous tone resolution is equivalent to a 4000 dpi printer, finer than film grain, with no visible dots. No inkjet, dye sublimation or electrostatic printer can come close to this degree of detail.

VAST COLOUR GAMUT and COLOUR FIDELITY.
36-Bit colour means that the Lightjet can reproduce
68 BILLION colours.

IMAGE STABILITY.
The Lightjet prints onto archival quality photographic paper, producing sharp and rich colours that have a longevity far beyond that of inks or dyes.

EDGE TO EDGE SHARPNESS.
The Lightjet’s RGB lasers expose the paper by travelling along a drum. This produces a print that is sharp and clear from edge to edge with no pixelation and with no density or focus fall off associated with conventional prints made through a lens.

We use Fuji Crystal Archive DP II Pearl paper. This a silver halide paper that contains pearl mica pigments and metal oxides which combine to give a metallic depth to the work.

The work is delivered in a strong tube. Your framer should then mount this on board before framing. This system is much safer than mounting the work to send to you and results in lower shipping charges. Digitalab have been delivering work in this way since 1949. The normal lead time for printing is seven working days. This is why we normally state fourteen days as a maximum from purchase to shipping.

Taxes and duties to countries outside of the European Union are not included in the price and are the responsibility of the buyer.

We travel frequently and this results in periods where we are unable to fulfil orders in the time stated.

PLEASE NOTE OUR LAST ORDER DATE FOR SHIPPING BEFORE SEPTEMBER 2017 IS JULY 13TH.

This piece is part of a Travelogue series of remarkable places and spaces across the world. All of the work is unstaged. This photograph of New York was taken using infrared.

Each piece is an edition of 25 and is supplied with a signed certificate of authenticity.
