Created on 8th June 2017, on the day of the UK election when Teresa May was elected as Prime Minister, and 104 years to the day that Emily Wilding Davison, suffragette, died. An emblem of women's emancipation, Emily Wilding Davison was fatally injured at the Epsom Derby under the hooves of the king's horse. A moment in history which shows the desperation of women in this country who wanted the vote.
