Artist's description:

This is based on a photo taken in later life of the eccentric American poetess. I read on critic who called her a "female De Sade," for her amusement when watching funeral processions pass by her house, which she almost never left. A friend pointed out that much of her poetry, which was not published during her lifetime, can be sung to the tune of "The Yellow Rose of Texas.
