In the late 40s, Art and Architecture magazine sponsored a competition to design houses for the burgeoning middle class using, in part, materials and techniques developed during WWII. The Emas House is a wonderful example of one of the winners that was actually built. Yes, it's the same Emas brothers who designed the chair.
