Taken from a series of studies in a frost laden paddock on a dusk winters evening, 'Hoare Frost' is a semi abstract interpretation of the wonderful shapes and colours created by the Rosebay Willow herb which had gone wild over the summer. With flowers gone and just the swaying sea of dried stems and dried leaves remaining, it made an amazing view looking over to a distant farmstead with welcoming orange lights in the window.
