Strong colour and delicate line contrast in this painting. My approach is through several drawings in paint and/or water soluble graphite. The colour from the graphite is drawn through and into some of the next layer with sections of the under-drawing showing through. Dual images of one person, as in much of my work, explore and search for underlying humanness, compassion and commonality.
