Artist's description:

Part of a series based on the tripartite French slogan, Egalite? challenges mankind's exploitation of the use of horses in the war. At the time of painting this series, War Horse opened at the National Theatre and the fact that nearly 10 million horses died in the First WW shocked and angered many of us.
