Artwork description:

This is a large (approx A3 image size) linocut of Eastbourne Pier in East Sussex.

This is very small variable edition of 11, and the main image shows the actual print for sale - Number 2. It is printed on acid-free paper using water-based inks.

The colours vary quite a bit in this edition - so you are looking at an unusually distinctive print.

The print is made by cutting a block of lino, then inking the colour for all the prints in the edition, then cutting again for the next colour. The ink is transferred to the paper by rubbing the back with a wooden spoon - which takes a while for a large print like this! At the end of the process no more prints can be made as the block has been entirely cut to bits.

All prints are numbered, titled and signed by me on the front.

Image size is 39cm wide by 28cm high, and will be sent to you with a mount and backing board - so all you need to do is frame it! The mount brings the artwork to an approximate total size of 50cm by 40cm, which is a standard size and easy to frame.

Please note international orders will be posted without a mount and rolled in a tube with acid-free tissue.
