Artist's description:

Painting: Acrylic on 300gsm paper

Size:21cm x 15cm x 0.2cm

This painting has been created using cold wax medium and oil paint. Layers of translucent colour have been scored and drawn into with a range of mark-making tools, creating subtle textural qualities and depth.

These images are based on the 'recovered' landscape of the Cambridgeshire fenlands. There is a strict framework to the regimented division of fields and the orderly rotation of crops, but the land is never totally acquiescent. As you look across the open fields you invariably find pockets of silent resistance.

This work on paper is sold unframed but can be framed within a suitable picture mount frame.

This work will be packaged carefully and posted in a hard backed, sturdy envelope.

The work is signed and dated on the reverse.

Keywords: abstraction, landscape.

Materials used:

Oil paint and cold wax medium

Dyke (2017)
