Original artwork description:

Warhol was famous for his replications but we live in a new age, replicating became different and the faces, models, objects need an update. This is a study, combining Andy Warhol's idea with a new face: Achilles, the war hero from Troi, and a Butt. And changing the style a bit.

"The Dying Achilles" shows the Greek Hero in his moment of death, wounded at the only vulnerable place in his body: his heel. Achilles decided to die young and become eternally famous. A decision he later regretted. He was gay (his boyfriend was Patroklos), a war hero and very sexy. He combines what we today think, cannot be combined. That inspired me, this easy way to handle LGBTQIA+ issues.

Ernst Gustav Herter (born 14 May 1846 in Berlin, Germany) was a famous German sculptor. He specialized in creating statues of mythological figures. Among his most famous works is "Sterbender Achill" (Dying Achilles), created in Berlin in 1884. The statue was acquired by the Empress of Austria and became the centerpiece at her palace Achilleion in Corfu, Greece.

Greek Mythology always fascinated me. The myth of the Trojan War and the personality of Achilles were my favorite stories, that I still re-read every year. Ancient Greece lay the foundations for storytelling, for art, for democracy and free speech - and for aethetics. This is why I chose their main stories and works, to keep them alive. To make them more popular, even 2500 years later.

This collage is made out of photos from the sculpture and a butt (from another work), I worked on them digitally and printed them in different colours. Further I added spray paint and finish.

IMPORTANT: None of my artwork is perfect, they are organic, there are drops of paint, tears in the paper, waves, glue residues. They are original!
