This is a small painting following a recent road trip through the Alps in Switzerland. The vine fields turn an amazing russet and gold colour. On this day the lighting was quite sombre, yet the autumnal colours were red and white wine. From the motorway the foreground flashes past, but the wine producing villages in the foot of the mountains remain steady.
