An expressive seascape showing a stormy sky over the estuary at Exmouth. The sea froths and a cold wind blows, and the beach is alive, the sand disrupted by hundreds of walking feet and paws as the dogs play. This scene is taken from a walk in Exmouth just before Christmas, when dog walkers were taking full advantage of the dog-friendly beach. The shoreline was a flurry of movement, tails, waves and walkers. The style in which I have painted the figures of people and dogs expresses the transience and movement of the scene.
