A dog swims in a gentle creek on a summer day, retrieving a stick. Painted plein air and from photographs at Johnson Creek, Portland, Oregon. Originally there were two paintings, one with the dog and the other just the creek and landscape. I recently added the swimming dog to this one because I could not locate the other painting from a few years ago. The serene dog adds so much life to this landscape painting!
