Artist's description:

This is an initial study inspired by the artist, Paul Cummins installation called 'Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red' of 888,246 ceramic red poppies at HRP Tower of London in 2014, to commemorate 100 years since the First World War (1914-1918).

This study is a juxtapose between representational work of the Turret Towers, and the abstract of the Poppies. This has been created by dropping 'Drops' of small amounts of paint and spinning 'Spins' on a revolving table. By 'Spins' the paint is pushed to the outer edges and leaves a trail of the poppies, creating the stem of poppies. The Poppies have been formed in to 'Heart' shaped poppies.

The inner Spire has been inspired by the inner Staircase and Turret Tower of the Tower of London with names taken from history of people that have been prisoners within the Tower of London.
