This is an Oil Painting on Canvas Board of recreating the Blitz over the Isle of Dogs (Dog fight refers to Isle of Dogs), Canary Wharf, London located on the central bend of the River Thames. The River Thames has been hand painted with drops superimposed over the top from the Bombing raids, this is juxtapose between the representational and abstract, as in conflict of War.
This recreates the dropping of Bombs during Blitz over London, UK during World War II (1939-1945) by Germany. This is an aerial view as seen though the circular target sights of the Bombsights within the Aircraft. This has been created by dropping 'Drops' of small amounts of paint and spinning 'Spins' on a revolving table. By 'Spins' the paint is pushed to the outer edges and leaves a trail of destruction, just like the trail of destruction left by shanknal after the dropping of the Bombs.
