Here in France a few Citroen 2 CVs are still around, most of them in excellent condition, but lots more are seen rusting away in back yards. I did see one in Provence recently, by the side of a shop selling local produce, I'm not sure if was still in use, or just as a 'come and look at this' but it encourage us to stop and see, and we also bought quite a bit of local produce there, so which ever it was, it worked.
It also inspired me to paint another watercolour with this French icon as a subject, following up on the Citroen Avant and the Jag Mk 9.
