Artist's description:

A visit to Dungeness inspired this picture. I had taken a lot of pictures of the vastness of the flat expanse that is this area, with its desolation and peacefulness in equal measures , and the strange juxtaposition of interesting new architecture against the bleak enormity of a disused nuclear reactor.

The three cooling towers in the picture look nothing like that, but the trip made me think about abandoned architecture whose hay day was in a more innocent age, now a monument to its own controversy.
