Hand embroidered composition of two male figures amongst bonsai trees. Experimenting with scale - are the trees miniature, or large and upon cliff tops... the bodies a landscape.
In considering the 'voluptuous' frame, I am referencing that it is a word that is never used to describe a man, nor the male form.
My work in embroidery comes from an affinity to textiles in contemporary art, as well as the meditative nature of the production of such time consuming, precise pieces.
