Deer in the Maze was inspired by a specific dream. The feeling of the dream was very ominous, there was some sort of significance hanging over the experience which I have never deciphered. In the dream, I was nothing but a mental presence, a disembodied observer. Deer in herds ran through a subterranean labyrinth towards an uncertain end. With my thoughts, I moved the walls of the maze and directed the herd.
