Two divers rise up from the steep vertical North Wall off Grand Cayman.
This series of marine life images were part of a solo exhibition shown at various venues here in the UK between 2001 - 2004.
Images were taken at a variety of worldwide marine sites over a ten year period using Nikonos 5 underwater camera with single strobe and ultra high speed 3600 black and white film. The end result is an “intentionally” impressionistic course pencil texture to the image when enlarged in print. The original black and white image has been duo-toned to give an extra dimension.
Although fascinated by the rich colours of the marine environment whilst diving, I was nevertheless drawn to the textures and shapes of the marine life and its natural environment and this was the source of my inspiration for this series.
I have previously produced two other small ltd editions of this series in A4 and A3 sizes (all sold out) This final edition has been produced by going back to the original film files, digitizing, formatting and printing to the very highest technical quality (previously unavailable when these images were first created)
Only 50 images are available in this edition. These special Ltd editions are only available for sale here on Art.Finder
