Original artwork description:

The vibrant colours of dawn fill the canvas in this abstracted composition. The colours grow from deep burgundy at the bottom to light yellow in the middle and then bleed into the blue sky at the top. Chromatic transitions lift the eye upwards and fill the viewer with hope, much like dawn on a bright day. Visible horizontal brushstrokes draw the eyes outwards and beg the viewer to pause for a moment on each colourful stratum.
The painting is ready to hang and the work is signed and dated the back.

Materials used:

Oil paint on gallery wrap canvas
