Artist's description:

This is from my very first session in 2000 with Manchester dancer, Julia Griffin, a collaboration which has been on-going ever since. (I even did her pregnancy photos).

Working with dancers is great because they can always take your ideas so much further than you could imagine. I love the dynamism in this shot and the almost abstract shape Julia creates. And the dress, of course!

(Please note: this was shot back in the pre-digital age on sensitive film stock, so the print is very grainy)
