Artist's description:

During the colonial years of British rule, some wonderful town houses were built in the major cities of Cyprus. Due to the invasion by Turkey in 1974 where Turks fled to the north and Greeks fled to the south, some of these houses were abandoned and are still decaying. Locked and abandoned, the forlorn and deserted front doors, the entrance to a once family home, now lie empty. Yet these doors may still have hopefulness in that one day they may be opened once more.
