I live in the Wye Valley, and this is the road outside my house. It is a narrow road and a favourite route for cyclists, who pass by every day.
I used colour here to show the warmth and depth of the vegetation on the roadside instead of all green, which makes for a more attractive and emotional viewing.
This pastel painting is framed with a narrow light oak wood-effect frame and an off-white mount.
