Original artwork description:

This is an allotment in Buxton which I have used dye, acrylic, fabric and string to create added texture to the plants and debris in the foreground. I have been painting allotments for many years and think this will be an obsession that will never end; I have now even got my own allotment. The attraction is all the year round, throughout the seasons. A wide range of light and colour is observed as the year passes, together with the changing stages of plant life and the evolving perspectives created by flower beds, sheds and greenhouses. The first shoots of spring, the signs of better weather to come, are followed by the fantastic light of good summer days (when we get them).

Materials used:

Dye , acrylic, string and fabric.
